7-Year Itch?

Amazingly, a small handful of our classmates are STILL at their first jobs. In fact, compared to last year, it's almost the same rate, 14% vs. 13% last year. In our recent survey of 103 classmates, 13 were still in their first jobs. Of these 13, more than half (7), were loyal Axers. Oski had 4 and Gold had 2.

Axe: Chris Q, Erik T, Karen Z, Paolo B, Sean F, Steve R, and Thomas S
Oski: Kevin H, Kristin A, Leslie S, Masako
Gold: Bernardo L, Steve Chacko

Occupations: Then and Now

While only 13% are with the same employers, a larger 56% are still in their same occupations. So where did everyone go?

Many left Management Consulting, High Tech, and Internet/New Media...benefiting Accounting/Finance and Non-profits, in general.

A well-deserved "Honorable Mention" to Junko (Gold), Stephanie (Axe), Gina (Gold) and Whitney (Axe) for trading in their for diapers. After spending a few days at home with my kid, I found it less tiring to go to work! According to a recent WSJ article, stay-at-home moms should be paid $134,121 based on the "services" they provide at home. So, we salute you full-time moms!
